International Federation of Journalists Holds Historic Event in Baghdad

On 23-24 May 2009, a historic event was held at Baghdad’s legendary Al Rasheed hotel. Journalists and journalists’ associations, unions, guilds representatives from around the world, including Iraq, convened for the first time ever a conference organized by the International Federation of Journalists (IFJ), in collaboration with the Iraqi chapter, bringing together more than 80 journalists from various countries to send a message of solidarity to Iraqi journalists.
