23 November 2016, Erbil, Iraq – As military operations into Mosul continue, WHO is working with national health authorities to ensure that people with war-related trauma injuries have access to live-saving medical care. WHO anticipates that approximately 40 000 civilians will require care for trauma injuries as a result of Mosul military operations.

ERBIL, 24 November 2016 – The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) continues to follow frontlines in Mosul delivering life-saving food assistance to families in newly retaken areas where access to food and functioning markets remains challenging and to those living in camps for displaced people.

Iraq, 25 November 2016 - Over one month into Mosul military operations, which began on 17 October, nearly 73,000 Iraqis are currently displaced from Mosul and adjacent districts (as of 24 November), according to IOM’s Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) Emergency Tracking.

23rd November 2016 – Erbil – On a UN Women emergency mission near eastern Mosul, the destruction of the war against ISIL was evident through numerous destroyed homes, shops, and deserted land for what used to be a thriving community filled with livelihood activities.

Iraq, 22 November 2016 - Over one month into Mosul military operations, which began on 17 October, some 68,100 Iraqis are currently displaced from Mosul and adjacent districts (as of 21 November) according to IOM’s Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) Emergency Tracking.

18 November 2016, Iraq – One month into Mosul military operations, which began on 17 October, over 59,700 Iraqis are displaced from Mosul and adjacent districts as of 18 November, according to IOM’s Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) Emergency Tracking.

Dohuk, Iraq 18 Nov 2016: The findings of the Duhok chapter of a regional profiling exercise for out of camp populations were officially presented by UNHCR along with the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) and various humanitarian and development partners gathered in Duhok.

(Baghdad, 17 November 2016): Today marks one month of intensified military operations to retake the city of Mosul. With tens of thousands of families in newly retaken areas urgently requiring life-saving assistance, the humanitarian community in Iraq faces a massive scope of need. These latest developments further exacerbate a humanitarian crisis in a country where 10 million people already were in need of aid.
