16 July 2019, New York, United States of America – Significant progress has been made in the work of the UN Investigative Team responsible for investigating ISIL crimes reported Mr. Karim Asad Ahmad Khan, Special Adviser and Head of the Investigative Team to the Security Council on Monday.

Najaf, Iraq, 15 July 2019 - Under the theme “Iraqi Youth: Pioneers for Dialogue and Stability”, a three-day workshop took place in Najaf Governorate from 11th to 13th July 2019. This was the fifth in a series of workshops taking place across Iraq throughout 2019 organised by the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI), in cooperation with the Committee for Coexistence and Societal Peace in the Prime Minister’s Office and the Iraqi Al-Amal Association.

Ramadi, Iraq, 07 July 2019 – At a three-day workshop from 4 to 6 July 2019, in the western city of Ramadi in Anbar Governorate, twenty-seven young Iraqi women and men from across the Governorate discussed how youth can play a role in addressing the challenges facing their communities.

Mosul, 11 July 2019 – Al Rabee Primary Healthcare Center, the Al Muthana Sport and Youth Center and the East Mosul Nursery Plantation were officially reopened today by the Government of Ninewa, following their rehabilitation by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

Erbil, 11 July 2019 – The Steering Committee of the Headway programme met in Erbil on 11 July 2019, to discuss and review the implementation of actions that will benefit nearly 430,000 vulnerable people, as well as advance social stability and growth in Iraq. Launched in February 2019, Headway aims at empowering Syrian refugees, local host communities and internally displaced people (IDPs) in areas affected by the crisis through involving them in practical solutions to rebuild their lives.
