The HIC has three sets of satellite data.
Two of the sets are public.
Landsat Mosaic
This data shows the whole of Iraq split into
13 tiles. The data is built from the 742-band combination of the Landsat Thematic Mapper satellite. This “false colour” band
combination enables us to distinguish between the various features
of the surface, such as built-up areas, natural vegetation,
agricultural areas, major infrastructure, and open water.

Landsat-Reference-Maps
This data shows the whole of Iraq split
into 43 separate maps. These maps combine 30m resolution Landsat
Satellite Imagery with detailed background data about the road
network and populated places within Iraq. An index map is
provided so that you can find the appropriate map for your area of
interest, and each map is combined with a gazetteer showing the
complete list of populated places shown on the map (based on the
best available information).
