Baghdad, 14 March 2013 – The Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General (SRSG) for Iraq, Mr. Martin Kobler, strongly condemned the attacks targeting the Ministry of Justice and other locations in the Iraqi capital today, which resulted in the killing and injury of dozens of people.

On the situation in Camp Liberty, Iraq


The Secretary-General strongly condemns the mortar attack today on Camp Liberty, the temporary transit facility near Baghdad for former residents of Camp Ashraf, which killed a number of residents and injured other residents and Iraqi police officers.

Baghdad, 8 February 2013 – Following the series of bombings that today hit popular and crowded places in Baghdad’s Khadimiya neighbourhood and in Shomali in Babel province, killing and injuring dozens of innocent victims, the Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General for Iraq (SRSG) Martin Kobler said that “perpetrators of these heinous and horrible acts are ruthless criminals whose sole goal is to push the country back to sectarian violence”. كوردی
