New York, 16 February 2016
Mr. President,
In the past reporting period, the heroic people of Iraq have been steadily gaining ground against the so-called Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), which is gradually losing its appeal to the disenfranchised population. Thank you, Mr. President.

I have the honour to introduce the first report of the Secretary General pursuant to paragraph 7 of resolution 2233 (2015), as well as the eighth report of the Secretary-General pursuant to paragraph 4 of resolution 2107 (2013) on the issue of missing Kuwaiti and third-country nationals, and property.

Thank you, Mr President.

I have the honour to present the fourth report of the Secretary‐General pursuant to resolution 2169 (2014), as well as the seventh report of the Secretary‐General pursuant to paragraph 4 of resolution 2107 (2013) on the issue of missing Kuwaiti and third‐country nationals, and property.

Thank you, Madam President.

In my first appearance before the Security Council in my new capacity, I would like to start by thanking first of all the Secretary-General and the Security Council for
